BCSD Hosts Annual Henry Greve Speech Contest

February 5, 2020 -The Visual and Performing Arts department at BCSD hosted the annual Henry Greve speech contest this week at the Education Center on Baker Street.  Nine Junior High and Middle School students showcased their speech talents by presenting an original piece on a chosen topic to a panel of judges.  This year’s topic is “Why is it important to embrace diversity?”

The top four finishers will go on to compete in the county-level competition on Thursday, March 19th at 7pm, at the City Centre Building located at 1300 17th Street. 

The following is the list of the top four finishers who will go on to compete in the county-level competition:

1st Place- Princess-Symone Jeter, Sequoia Middle School

2nd Place- Naommy Perez, Stiern Middle School

3rd Place- Jocellyn Bollanos, Stiern Middle School

4th Place- Roxy Warren-Allen, Sequoia Middle School
